Sie bildet eine deutschsprachige Exklave in französischsprachigem Gebiet an der Grenze der Kantone Freiburg und Waadt. Die Gemeinde zählte 50 Einwohner im Jahr 2007; im Jahr 1880 betrug die Einwohnerzahl noch 118 und ist seither stets rückläufig.
