Mason Derelle Betha (born August 27, 1975), better known by stage name Mase (often typeset as Ma$e), previously known as Murda Ma$e, is an American rapper, songwriter, television personality and inspirational speaker. He was an artist on Sean "Diddy" Combs' hip hop label Bad Boy Records during the late 1990s. He released two albums on Bad Boy, the widely regarded classic Harlem World and the darker sophomore attempt, Double Up. He retired in 1999 to become a religious preacher, only to return to music in 2004 with the album Welcome Back. In 2005, he attempted to sign to G-Unit Records.
After the G-Unit deal couldn't be finalized, Mase was linked to SRC Records. SRC founder Steve Rifkind was working on signing Mase in 2007, but, like 50 Cent, was unable to come to terms with Diddy over buying out Mase's contract. Rifkind has been on record talking about the album that Mase recorded for SRC, which was to be titled either "Suicide Note" or "The Revival." In an interview with Hip-Hop magazine XXL , Rifkind claimed that it would be released by the end of that year and that it was "crazy." The album was never released.
After another hiatus, Mase returned to rap again in June 2009. In October of that year, Diddy signed Mase's release from Bad Boy Records, the only label he's been signed to. In November, he dropped his first mixtape in three years, "I Do The Impossible". It featured collaborations with former Children of The Corn members Cam'Ron ("Get It") and Mcgruff ("If I Come Back For You"), and remixes of hit songs like Empire State of Mind. He is currently shopping for a new record deal while working on his fourth album, "The Mason Betha Story". Mase has remained more quiet in 2010, leading some to believe he has retired from rap once again. However, he has continued to work on music this year with Jamie Foxx, French Montana, Rico Love, Pol-B and Scott Stapp of Creed.

Masein.Geographie.

Masein befindet sich an einem Hang des Heinzenbergs gleich westlich von Thusis. Nebst den beiden Ortsteilen Ober- und Unterdorf gehören noch die südlich von der Hauptsiedlung liegenden Weiler Crestalunga und Dalaus, Schloss Tagstein und die östlich vom Dorf gelegenen Weiler Cresta und Lochmühli zur Gemeinde. Vom gesamten Gemeindegebiet von 419 ha sind 218 ha von Wald und Gehölz bedeckt. Weitere 161 ha können landwirtschaftlich genutzt werden. Nebst 25 ha Siedlungsfläche gibt es noch 15 ha unproduktive Fläche.
