Sonogno is a municipality in the district of Locarno in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. It is located in Valle Verzasca. Italian is the primary language spoken.
The parish in Sonogno was created in 1852 and is currently inhabited primarily by descendants of the Pelucca family. The church was finished in 1854. Prior to that time residents of Sonogno were in the Frasco Parrish.
Sonogno is the is the last village on the paved road through the Vally of Verzasca. All motor vehicles are required to park at the entrance to the village.

Sonogno ist die hinterste Gemeinde im Verzascatal und liegt in einer Mulde beim Zusammenfluss der Gebirgsbäche aus dem Redorta- und Vogornessotal. Sonogno ist Ausgangspunkt für viele Wanderungen. Im Winter kann man hier Schlittschuh- und Langlaufen.
